Ms. Oms joined the Firm in June, 2001 for the practice of corporate and commercial law and real estate law.

Ms. Oms currently serves as a member and the Secretary of the Board of Directors of Pediatric Hospital Foundation, a Puerto Rico not for profit corporation, and has served as the Chairperson and Co-chairperson of the Annual Cultural Activity Committee and as a volunteer for the Golf Tournament Committee, both for the benefit of the Scholarship Fund of Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola, a private school in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Oms worked as in-house counsel to HIASC Corporation, a health insurance and healthcare management services consulting firm, from 1999 to 2001. Concurrently with such position and before then, Ms. Oms was an associate at Nachman Guillemard & Rebollo, a law firm specializing in civil litigation, from 1997 to 2000. Before then, Ms. Oms was Special Aide to the Hon. Pedro Pierluisi, Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, during 1995 and 1996, and an associate in the Corporate Department of Axtmayer Adsuar Muñiz & Goyco, during 1994 and 1995.

Ms. Oms was born in Buffalo, New York on June 7, 1968. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Yale University in 1990 and a law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 1993.

Ms. Oms is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and is a licensed notary public in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Ms. Oms is fluent in English and Spanish and has a working knowledge of French.
